ONLINE LEARNING SUPPORT (OLS) SITE • 24/7 online support and services to all online students • Integrated with Student Administration Management database (SAM) to provide personalised student information • Student participation and transactions with the OLS are captured in SAM • Seamless access to Janison/Moodle content • Teacher staffroom supports onsite and off-site teachers • Content creation is decentralised – teachers add/edit content for their subjects and courses • E-Business facilities

The highlight statistics for July 2009 include: • 83,798 OLS logins (457,659 year to date, 2009), compared to 49,309 in July 2008. • 30% of OTEN students accessed the OLS in June (57%, year to date, 2009) • 158,091 module visits (865,743 to date, 2009), compared to 39,126 in July 2008. • 28.48% of all assignments submitted where received by the OLS, compared to 18% in 2008. • 4,762 assessments submitted via the OLS.  (27,523 to date, 2009), compared to 2,701 in July 2008. • 4675 students submitted assessments via the OLS (27,060 to date), compared to 2675 in July, 2008. • 1473 Online assessments submission (captivate quizzes), (7487 to date, 2009), compared to 577 in July 2008. • 1552 exam downloads, (13,322 to date, 2009), compared to 169 in July 2008.  • Over 2100 student initiated changes to their contact details (email, phone, and address).  • Support pages for 334 courses and 847 units

OLS TOOLS FOR SUPPORTING STUDENTS Students can: • check their current unit and course progress • access their online learning resources for some courses (e.g. Janison content) • find useful links and study tips to help with their assignments • download their assignments and submit them online • obtain useful information to assist with their studies • contact their teaching section via email • update their personal contact details • access past TAFE NSW exam papers, for some units
