  1. AP EXAM INFORMATION SESSION

  2. THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • All AP EXAMS are FREE OF CHARGE • There is no limit to the number of free exams a student may take. • AP Exams are only given to students who are enrolled in the AP course Fall and/or Spring Semester.

  3. THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • How do I register to take the AP EXAM(s)? • All students who plan to take an AP Exam(s) must register through the RHS TotalRegistration site. • Visit: www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/343394 to register for the AP Exams • Students can also access the registration site from the RHS Homepage by clicking on ACADEMICS; then click on ADVANCE PLACEMENT; and click on AP Testing Registration located on the left of the screen.

THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • AP EXAM REGISTRATION Cont…. • Once students access the TotalRegistration Site, they are required to create a AP Registration Account to continue with registration. (First time users) • What if I have an AP Registration Account but forgot my password? • Students who have an account but forgot password must click on the “forgot password” link to get their password sent to the email address associated with their account or by a challenge question that the student provided.

THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • When can I register to take my AP Exams? • The Registration window opens February 1, 2017 @ 12am and closes Feb 28, 2017 @ 10pm • What Happen if I register for the Exam(s) and then change my mind? • Students must see Mr. Douglas in Student Services to cancel Exam Registration by 2:20pm on Friday, March 3rd

  6. THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • What happens if I forget to cancel my registration for an Exam that I registered for? • Student will be charged $15 for every exam that is ordered that the student does not take.

  7. THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • Pre-Administration Session • There will not be a pre-administration session to complete answer sheets. • Student answer sheets will be pre-bubbled based on the information that the student provides during his/her online AP Registration (Please read each question and provide accurate information).

  8. All students are asked to report to their testing location 30 minutes before the start of the EXAM. • All EXAMS will start on time. • Students will not be admitted to the testing room after the EXAM has started. AP EXAM DATES & REPORTING TIMES

  9. ALL AP EXAMS will be administered here at Rolesville High School • The complete exam schedule with room locations of specific AP Exams will be given to students at a later date. AP EXAM DATES & REPORTING TIMES

  16. SPECIAL ALERT!!!!!!! The AP Human Geography and AP European Exams are administered on MAY 12, 2017. • What does this mean? May 12th is a teacher’s workday • What does that mean? There is no school for students, and buses will not be transporting students that day.

  17. SPECIAL ALERT!!!!!!! • What do I need to do? All students testing on May 12thwill have to provide their own transportation to and from school. • What if I can’t take it that day but want to take it another day? You have to pay CollegeBoard $45.00 to take the Late Exam. • When is the Late Exam administered? AP Human Geo (May 18th/8:00am); AP Euro (May 18th/12pm)

  18. SPECIAL ALERT!!!!!!! • Students who have an AP Exam scheduled for 12pm are required to provide their own transportation home. Why can I not ride the bus? • AP Exams last about 4 hours from start to finish. So, students who have a 12pm Exam will complete the Exam after school has been dismissed and buses are gone. • Student who finish their Exam cannot leave the testing room until all students are finished and all exam materials are collected.

THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • Additional Information • Students registered for Calculus AB & BC in the same year can only take 1 of the AP Exams • Why can a student not take both the Calculus AB & BC Exam? • Both Exams are offered on the same day at the same time (Talk with your Calculus teacher for guidance on which exam to register for).

THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • Additional Information • Most colleges/universities award college credit for scores of 4 and 5 on AP Exams. • Check with the college/university that you plan to attend to see if they accept AP credits. • Research the college/university you wish to attend to determine what AP score is required.

THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW • Additional Information • Can I leave after my Exam is over? • Yes, student can leave after their exam is over if they have turned in a signed Early Release/Late Arrival Exam Permission Form to student services • Can I arrive to school at 11:30am if my Exam starts at 12pm? • Yes, students can arrive late if they have a late Exam and they have turned in a signed Early Release/Late Arrival Permission Form.

  22. THINGS AP STUDENTS NEED TO BRING • RHS will provide pencils, pens, scratch paper, and calculators • Students may bring their own AP approved calculators as long as the memory has been cleared

  23. FORBIDDEN IN THE TESTING CENTER • All phones must be turned off before entering the Testing Center • The Testing Administrator will collect all phones before the Exam begins • Phones will not be returned until all testing is completed • Students may bring snacks (Snacks must be stored in the front of the class until break • Students cannot bring book bags
