The Student Exchange Programme Checklist: Student Exchange Programme (SEP) • Spend a semester or two at an overseas partner university • Broaden horizons; Meet different people and experience diverse cultures • Get credit transfer for courses at overseas university • Pay regular NUS tuition fees not fees at overseas university • Pay personal expenses – airfare, accommodation, health insurance, books, living expenses • Apply for awards, scholarships, financial aid to help defray costs

The Student Exchange Programme Scholarships and Financial Aid for SEP • Overseas SEP Loan Fund (Registrar’s Office) • Office of Alumni Relations – SEP Awards • NUS - UBC Lee Foundation Student Exchange Awards • Caltech SURF: for FoE and FoS students • Asian Business Fellowship • Japanese Government Scholarships • EDB Academic Exchange Award for France, Germany and Japan • French / DAAD – NUS Student Exchange Award • DUO – Singapore Exchange Fellowship / DUO – Denmark Awards • Italian scholarship • AEH – EARN Awards

The Student Exchange Programme Language Preparation for SEP • Offered by Center of Language Studies (CLS) in FASS • Encouraged to take the following Mandarin Classes in preparation for their exchange in China • Chinese for Science and Technology: scientific terminology, scientific writing and presentation • Chinese for Business and Social Science: related terminology, writing, debating, presentation and negotiation skills • CLS also offers language classes in French and German • French and German Language Preparation Classes: Application for the French and German Language Programmes is now closed. However, you can still bid for modules at the Centre for Languages Studies (CLS) at FASS. Not being in the language programme will not affect your eligibility for exchange to France or Germany. Exchange to France and Germany is dependant on your language ability plus fulfilling your faculty or Registrar’s Office SEP eligibility criteria
