BUT YOU ARE THE SAME, AND YOUR YEARS WILL NOT FAIL” Heb. 1:12 “For I am the LORD, I change not.” Mal. 3:6 Past = yesterday Present = today Future = forever

  9. How is Christ the Same ? His Characteristics His Church is Unchanging Dan. 2:44 “never be destroyed… it shall stand for ever” 1 Cor. 15:24-26 - reign until last enemy defeated

His Characteristics His Word / Truth is Unchanging God speaks through His Son - Heb. 1:2 “Heaven and earth shall Pass. away. but my words shall not pass away.” Matt. 24:35 “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation…contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” Jude 3

His Characteristics His Word / Truth is Unchanging - Plan of salvation does not change - Moral standard is unchanging - Sin is always an abomination to God “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” Rom. 1:18

His Characteristics Willingness to Save Man “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Lk. 19:10 “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Pet. 3:9
