  1. Welcome to our LIBRARY!

  2. Library Hours • We open at 7:45 • We close at 3:15 • The library is closed daily from 11-11:45 • If you need the library at another time, please let me know and we can arrange another time.

  3. Check in/ Check out • Books are arranged by AR levels. • You may check out one book at a time. • Scan in your book at the front computer and place in the correct color coded basket. • Pick up a shelf marker. • Check out your book at the computer by the circulation desk. • Place your shelf marker in the basket at the check out station.

  4. How to keep your book HAPPY! • Do not loan your book to another student • Keep your book out of the weather • Use a book marker • Keep books away from pets and little sisters/brothers • Keep drinks and food away from your book Do not mark, draw or write in your books. Check out books for one week. Return the books on time.

  5. Behavior Expectations • Use your inside voice • Walk to places in our library • Use your shelf marker • One person at a time on the rugs at the check in/checkout sections • Respect everyone • Be on your very best behavior in the library • Make sure you have a library pass • One at a time at each computer • Do not use books on AR tests or help another student

  6. Only 3 tests daily • 85% average on your tests • Only tests on books read during the school year • Teacher moves your dot level • No books may be used on AR tests

  7. Once you reach your goal, you may read any dot color, but you may not test on the book. YOU MUST HAVE TEACHER’S PERMISSION!! • Four goal periods • Library luncheons when you reach 100 points! • Field trip at Christmas and another at the end of the year! • Trophies: the highest AR point earner
