New regulations • States must use four-year, adjusted cohort model to calculate the graduation rate by 2011 school year (summer 2011 AYP determinations). • States must use four-year, adjusted cohort graduation rate, including subgroup results, for AYP determinations by 2012 school year (summer 2012 AYP determinations).
Four-year adjusted cohort • Students exit by transfer to another degree-granting school, home school, age out, die.
