  5. Curriculum

  6. Principles of Business – Study the rights and responsibilities of a consumer and worker, career opportunities, credit, money management, budgeting, investments, free enterprise and economic systems as they relate to global economy. HONORS AOF 1 – Junior year. Introduces students to the broad career opportunities of the financial service industry, creating new options for the future. Emphasis is on insurance, banking, securities, credit, and accounting. HONORS Summer Internship – Academy students are offered a unique experience to Intern with a business in the Winston-Salem area during the summer between their junior and senior years. Internships are paid opportunities for credit. While not guaranteed for every student, to date, all eligible students have been placed. Senior year: Possible courses include industry-themed curriculum with credit through Forsyth Technical Community College. Emphasis is on Financial Planning and International Finance. Substitutions include Advanced Placement Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, AP Human Geography, and others as approved. Course Descriptions
