  1. RUN BABY RUN

  2. Introduction Have you ever wondered which gender can run further in 10 min. Well that’s why I picked this project. I’ve always wanted to know. Because we have a lot of kids that can run fast but I don’t know if they can run far. The ones that run fast get tired faster too, so they probably couldn’t run the 100 meter dash. But I just want to know if girls can out run boys.

  3. Back Ground Info. When boys grow up they grow stronger to. Test over years show that boys have always been faster than some girls. But some girls are faster than most boys. Girls can also be stronger. Some girls were born with this and others train for it. But over all its pretty much a tie for who is stronger and faster.

  4. Hypothesis I think the girls will run further that the boys. Mostly because we have a lot of sporty girls. Also boys get tired fast than the girls so they slow down. But it might be a close tie.

  5. Materials • 3 girls • 3 boys • A treadmill for everyone • Gym clothes to wear • Good shoes to run in

  6. Independent Variables Which gender ran faster?

  7. Dependent Variables Which gender traveled the farthest?

  8. Procedure • Gather all material • Go to the work out room • Take a couple of people and put them on treadmills • Set the speed the same for everyone • Keep on speeding up the speed • Wait until 10 min. is up • Then write down the persons distance.

  9. Results BOYS- • Layne: 1.05 miles • Trae: 1.22 miles • Kash: 1.43 miles GIRLS- • Aubree: 1.33 miles • Tori: 1.06 miles • Chelsey: 0.93 miles

  10. Conclusion It was a pretty close tie. Kash and Aubree were close but Kash beat her. Then it was Trae was next after Aubree and then Layne. Tori and Layne got pretty close but Tori got .01 more miles. It was a tie I think cause it all balances out.

  11. Possible Cause of Error • Some one just walking not trying hard • Leaning up against the bars on the treadmill • Stopping the treadmill and starting over • Resting then starting up again • Having a different time for every person

  12. Acknowledge • Mrs. Riffel • Trae • Tori • Layne • Chelsey • Aubree • Kash
