  6. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST Free from Sin We are in bondage while living in sin Romans 6:16-18 “servants to sin” Romans 7:14 “sold under sin” TCNT “sold into slavery to sin” Mankind becomes addicted or enslaved to sin: Alcoholics – drug addicts – sex offenders Liars – thieves - profanity

  7. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Christ died to liberate us from our sins – 2 Cor.5:21 We must die with him – dead to sin We have freedom through His blood Believe Repent Confess Baptized

  8. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST Free from Sin “God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness” Romans 6:17-18

  9. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST Free from Mosaic Law “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1,2

  10. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST Free from Mosaic Law • No longer in force • Acts 15:10 – Yoke not able to bear • It could not atone for sin • In Christ we are freed from that law of sin and death • Christ is the atonement for all our sins

  11. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST • Not free from all things • That would be lawlessness • 1 John 3:4 Sin is transgression • True freedom is recognizing we have limits

Real Freedom Is In CHRIST In Bondage to Christ • Titus 1:1 “Paul, a bondservant of God…” • James 1:1 “James, a bondservant of God….” • 2 Peter 1:1 “Simon Peter, a bondservant…. • Romans 6:18 “And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” • Romans 6:22 (ESV) “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.” Slave

  13. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST In Bondage to Christ • Act like servants [slaves] of Christ • Hebrews 5:9 “all them that obey Him.” • 1 Peter 2:21 “follow his steps • Serve one another • 1 Pet. 5:5 • Galatians 5:13,14

Stand Fast in the Liberty “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Gal. 5:1 Stand Fast 1 Cor. 16:13 “stand fast in the faith” Phil. 1:27 “stand fast in one spirit” Phil. 4:1 “Stand fast in the Lord” Stand Firm – To be stationary - to Persevere

  17. True Freedom is found only In Christ Our sins are forgiven - We have a set of Tracks Freedom is Not Free Political Spiritual God’s Son Died to purchase our Freedom What will you do with your freedom ?
