  1. SHAFTLESS HOME ELEVATOR INSTALLATION Jim was destined to be a contractor. He played for hours on end with Tonka toys and Nylint toys. Dozers, backhoes’, dump trucks, you name it plus Matchbox toys as well. He spent hours sitting and watching homes and other buildings being built in his South Milwaukee, WI neighborhood. He even cut studs and sheathing and rafters out of stiff paper and built little houses because that’s the way construction guys did it. He worked for someone briefly and then became partners with a friend and eventually his brother in 1991. In 2005 his brother left the company and Jim continued to work as a contractor. He has extensive experience in all phases of residential construction, both new construction and remodeling.

  2. Site Prep & Demolition Home Site Evaluation Elevator Installation & Completion Construction Waterproofed floor protection is put down in all work areas, from entry to each work area, tent all work areas where the work is to be done, remove drywall beginning in lower level from wall and ceiling to access framing. We will come to your home and determine elevator location based on your needs and the homes layout, determine if subcontractors will be needed, sign contract. Move any obstacles in the way of hole framing (electrical, HVAC or plumbing), provide structural support per building codes for the hole in the floor, additional framing in walls for elevator rails to bolt to, perform required inspections, install phone line Elevator is installed by a licensed elevator mechanic where required by state law, installation typically takes two days. Provide finish carpentry as needed and site clean up, review elevator operation with owner.

  3. EC 450 CHATFIELD, MN Here is another job in Minnesota, about 100 miles south of Minneapolis. The elevatormechanic then installed the elevator. We returned and did the finish carpentry as needed. We then, as usual, cleaned up and left the home as clean as or cleaner than we found it. They were very happy with how everything turned out and were even looking forward to using the elevator for getting groceries up to the main floor! The owners did not need this home elevator at this time, but they were planning for a time when they may need it and will be very glad they did put one in!

  4. STAIR LIFT We all have challenges. Maybe stairs are yours? Perhaps you’ve considered a stair lift or a home elevator to ease the stress of the staircase. The differences really come down to your personal needs. But, what is the difference between an elevator and a stair lift, and which is right for your circumstances? Stair lifts provide a seat that will cruise you up or down a staircase. They are meant to provide an easy lift for mild mobility issues, such as achy joints, hip issues or breathlessness. If you have more extreme mobility issues, you will likely require assistance getting on or off the stairlift. Also, platforms capable of holding and transporting a wheelchair will take-up more space, about 3-feet worth of the stairwell.

  5.
