  1. Proposed theoretical collaboration China Side • Common interests among theoretical groups • Possible collaboration between theory and experiment

  2. Common interests among theoretical physicists • Structure and reaction of dripline nuclei (extreme isospin) • Superheavy nuclei ( heaviest) • High-spin state (extreme spin) • Electron (lightest) scattering on unstable nuclei • Hadron Physics • High-energy nucleus-nucleus collision

  3. 1. Nuclear structure and reaction of dripline nuclei • Exotic light nuclei (halo, skin, shell, deformation) • Shanghai group, Lanzhou group, CIAE… • Beijing group, Nanjing group, SJTU, … • RIKEN, RCNP, Tokyo group, Kyoto group… • We had good collaboration on structure of halo and skin nuclei... • We can promote further visits for physicists and students.

  4. Theoretical side:good collaboration • Many Chinese physicists worked in • RIKEN, RCNP, JAEA, Tokyo, Kyoto… • Example (theory) : Profs. Z. Y. Ma, • Zhongzhou REN, J. Meng, Y. M. Zhao, S. G. Zhou, J. D. Bao, F. S. Zhang,…. • collaborated with Japanese physicists : • Profs. Toki, Otsuka, Sakurai, …

  5. 2. superheavy nuclei • Experiment: RIKEN, JAEA(JAERI), Lanzhou • Theory: a lot of nuclear physicists are working on superheavy nuclei in China • China side: Lanzhou group (IMP), Nanjing group (NJU), CIAE, Beijing group(PKU, BNU…),Shanghai. • In China we often have the conferences of superheavy nuclei. • We can promote further collaboration between theory and experiment

  6. 3. high spin states • There is good collaboration between Lanzhou group and JAEA group (JAERI group). • There are persons in CIAE and Beijing group who are also working on high-spin states. • More collaboration is also possible.

  7. 4. Electron scattering on unstable nuclei • Electron-RI scattering experiments will be available in RIKEN. • This will bring new opportunity on structure of unstable nuclei (halo, skin, shell,…) • Some theoretical researches are useful for future experiments. • Electron-RI scattering experiments: accurate for charge distributions (i.e. proton-halo…)

  8. Suggestions for electron-RI scattering • In order to prepare the electron-RI scattering experiments in RIKEN, more theoretical researches on electron-RI scattering are needed. • Collaboration between theory and experiment is also useful.

  9. 5. Hadron physics • China side: IHEP, Lanzhou group, Beijing group, Nanjing group… • My colleagues in China are interested in experiments at Spring-8: pentaquark... • They hope that there is collaboration • between China side and Japan side.

  10. 6. High-energy nucleus-nucleus collision • China side: Shanghai group, Beijing group • Wuhan group, Hefei group, CIAE… • Physicists in China are interested in • collaboration with Japanese colleagues. • They will talk about it in free speech of this section.

  11. Summary (1) • China side: we had good collaboration. • Possible work for future collaboration: • Visits among physicists with common interests • Participations of related conferences in Japan • Theoretical work for experiments in Japan • Support each other on researches (Referee…) • I, as a referee of international journal, suggested the citation of Japanese’s article.

  12. Summary (2) • China side: we have the fund to invite Japanese colleagues to visit China for a short period (weeks) • China side: we can support Japanese colleagues to participate the conferences in China • For long-period visits (months), we can apply for collaborating researches.

  13. Thanks • Some Theoretical physicists will talk about their special suggestions for future collaboration.

  14. 发展电子散射的模型和程序研究电子和质子晕核散射发展电子散射的模型和程序研究电子和质子晕核散射

  15. 进一步研究电子和丰质子核的散射:PRC 71 054323 (2005); PRC 73 014610 (2006)

  16. Summary • We had good collaboration. • Possible work for future collaboration: • Visits among physicists with common interests • Participations of the related conferences • Theoretical predictions for experiments • Help and recommend on researches (Referee…)
