  1. Intensive Academic Program IAP Providing assistance to 17- 59 year old participants for literacy, GED, and math and reading remediation. Assisting in the provision of skills for employment on a level to provide self-sufficiency and removal from state and federal assistance programs.

  2. Comprehensive Academic • Evaluation Individual Academic Service planning (IAS) Weekly, bi-weekly and daily one-on-one tutoring

  3. Classroom, group tutoring and GED preparation Monthly academic evaluations and pre-testing

  4. Adults and youth learning together • GED testing • Referrals and collaborative certification programs with the local community college and advanced learning centers • Books and academic materials as required for successful completion

  5. Interactive computer based learning activity opportunities Certifications in Computer Skills for Work and Post Secondary Education Partnering with Lansing Community College

  6. Internships and school to work related experience Partnering with Michigan State University

  7. Partnerships with local businesses and community centers • Job retention follow-up services for 18 months

  8. Supportive services for transportation and childcare Some of our participants are pregnant or parenting young adults. The IAP program works hard to keep them working towards their GED’s and self-sufficiency in employment.

  9. Steady Increase in Demand As word grows that resources are available, demand has consistently increased for services to ex-offenders, at-risk youth, laid off manufacturing populations and under-employed individuals

  10. Requests for Services on the Increase 73 Individuals on our Waiting List for admission into the Intensive Academic Program 23 people currently “on leave” from program, pursuing employment opportunities and attending limited sessions

  11. Current Enrollment Configuration Exceeds by 273% Currently 16% of our total enrollees have completed GED’s and/or grade level attainment required for job development.

  12. EVM’s IAP program exceeds National testing averages In Writing, Science, Reading, and Math, our program exceeds the national average scores for adults passing their GED’s. In Social Studies, we are only 6 points below the national average – and working on it!

  13. Proven Success Fact: The National GED site states that only 30% of all GED test takers pass their tests the first time they take them. Fact: Eaglevision’s testers have a 100% pass rate for EVERY test taken

  14. Grade level attainment over the top! Of the participants re-tested, the average increase in grade level per subject area was a whopping 4.6 grade increase!

  18. Recognition for outstanding work Eaglevision awards monthly certificates for outstanding employee and student of the month. We are proud of our people!

  19. Encouraging Post Secondary Education A visit to Michigan State University with some participants included a tour of the campus, admissions information and lunch at one of the cafeterias.
