  2. Santa María de las Flores, Catedral de Florencia. Siglo XV.

  3. En 1.418 se convoca un concurso para la adjudicación de la cúpula. Brunelleschi es quien definitivamente fue elegido para realizarla.

  4. Los problemas estructurales se solucionan con un sistema de doble cúpula y una estructura de madera intermedia.

  5. La cúpula ocupa todo el espacio de las tres naves.

  6. Las obras de la cúpula se inician en 1.420 y no terminan hasta 1.436.

  7. La construcción de la linterna se inició en 1.446, poco antes de la muerte de Brunelleschi.

  8. El peso de la cúpula central se sostiene también sobre otras medias cúpulas situadas a su alrededor.

  9. La catedral gótica fue obra de Arnolfo di Cambio.

  10. El campanille de la catedral, fue realizado por Giotto.
