  1. Make The Right Decision Knowing The Difference Between Offset Printing and Digital Printing Technique People who usually do not know the ropes of printing techniques, usually have a misconception that offset printing is better than digital printing! Offset printing has been around for decades and is popularly used for printing commercials like newspapers, magazines, advertisements, brochures and more. However, digital printing is also in the winning race and both the methods are best in their own ways of providing quality and print longevity. Having said that, the decision of which one to choose depends largely on your project volume and niche requirement. Why we say this is because digital printing can be opted for a single copy of printing and offset printing is applicable for bulk copies printing. Also, the color capabilities of both techniques differ a lot. If you are confused between the two, let’s have a clear picture in this blog.

  2. Offset printing: Often called offset lithography, the prospective inked design is transferred on a printing made usually made from aluminum, further from the plate to a rubber blanket and finally rolled over the printing surface. This technique allows you to choose the color of your choice and gives expected reproductive results. You get a professional, crisp and clean design for your Singapore Shirt printing. Digital printing: No plates are used for this printing type, instead, it uses toners for creating a shining print. The toners have to be adjusted on the top of the paper and the colors like Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black dots are combined inside it. However, this toner sitting needs a lot of adjustments every time the printing task is initiated. And hence, the printing method is advisable for low quantities and short-run jobs. The capabilities of producing high-quality images are high with this printing technique but not advisable at all for large volume printing. A major difference between the two techniques: Both the methods have their respective pros and cons, however, the major difference occurs when it comes to quantity, quality, colors, budget, and many such factors. Let’s find out more about it...

  3. Cost: The cost of offset printing largely depends on the quantity you opt to print, the greater the quantity, the lesser the price. The total cost includes the initial machine setup price and also it has to be washed when the printing color changes. Hence, printing in bulk proves to be more cost-effective than for single piece printing. However, digital printing turns out to be cheaper than offset printing when it comes to lower volume printing. Reason? There is no initial set up costs involved with the process but still, the price per unit is quite higher than expected. Color: For off-set printing, the traditional colors used are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. In this method, a specific amount of ink is transferred onto the plate which is further transferred to the printing material. The method is majorly adopted by the cheap t shirt printing in Singapore.

  4. Digital printing uses laser or inkjet printers and provides a color choice from the four main colors CMYK. the limitation of this printing technique is that it only prints in grayscale and is not able to reproduce the actual colors. If you wish to have a completely Pantone match, then you should not go for this option. Turnaround time: Since off-set printing requires an initial set up of plates and machines, the turnaround time for this method is slightly longer than the other one. However, digital printing is specifically for smaller quantities and no set up time is involved and hence, the turnaround time is quicker than the offset printing. It is upon you to decide which method would be best suitable for your shirt printing Singapore job. Make sure that you make the right decision in order to get the best results.
