In my opinion, the U.S. is not headed in the right direction, as seen through the lens of the Populist Party Platform of 1892. The grievances highlighted, such as the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few, corruption within the political system, and inadequate representation for farmers and workers, resonate even today. The calls for reforms in banking and railroads reflect ongoing issues of inequality and exploitation in contemporary society. To better understand this perspective, I would ask the author about the relevance of their platform today and their views on modern populism.
