  3. What is…. • A clash? • When two or more examinations are scheduled at the same time • Clashes are supervised using similar rules as for examinations • A clash may involve two sections of the same unit. The second part will be completed immediately after the first.

  4. Clash involving separate subjects • Where two separate subjects are timetabled together (one usually involves a MFL) the candidate will remain in the examination room and complete the second exam following a short break.

  5. Examination Timetable • Check CAREFULLY your examination timetable ensuring that you are entered for the CORRECT units. Any changes please see Mr Sands (Portadown) or Mrs Inns (Lurgan) IMMEDIATELY. • If you are entitled to extra time check that the times for the examinations are correct. • Requests for special consideration should be made, with supporting evidence to Mr Sands or Mrs Brown or Mrs Inns. • If find any mistakes when you get your final timetable, please see Mr Sands in the examinations office as soon as possible or Mrs Inns on the Lurgan Campus.

  6. Examination Timetable • If you have a clash and would like more information, please see Mr Sands. • You MUST bring your examination timetable into every examination. You will not be permitted into an examination without it. If you forget it, your Form Teacher should have a copy.

  7. Role of the invigilator • Listen to the invigilator and follow their instructions at all times. • Tell the invigilator at once: • if you think you have not been given the right question paper or all of the materials listed on the front of the paper; • if the question paper is incomplete or badly printed. • If on the day of the examination you feel that your work may be affected by ill health or any other reason, tell the invigilator. • Put up your hand during the examination if: • you have a problem and are in doubt about what you should do; • you do not feel well; • you need more paper. • You must not ask for, and will not be given, any explanation of the questions.

It is a VERY SERIOUS offence to bring one of these devices into the room. • Please leave all such devices at home. Even if you turn off the phone and accidentally bring it into the room it will be assumed that you are cheating. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

Mobile Phones/Smart Watches • It is essential that if you bring a valuable item into school (phone, purse etc) then it can be left in a box and collected from the General Office at the end of the examination. • The item must have a pre-attached label with your name on it • All items are left in school at the owner’s risk. • Labels can be obtained from the General Office.
