  5. Dress for Success/Business Casual Men: Dress pants, button down shirt, tie, dark socks, and dress shoes. Women: Skirts or dresses (hem line no more than 3 inches above the knee), shirts with appropriate neck lines, dress shoes (pumps)

  7. College Applications • College applications are found on the college websites. Check to see if a minimum ACT or SAT is required. • Common Application is an option. • Applying for Early Decision – Must have applications submitted before November 1 • Always have your college application essays proof read before submitting. • Complete high school resume prior to completing applications • Must request a high school transcript ($2) as well as a college transcript ($3). • Recommendations must be requested at least two weeks in advance. • Must have college choices narrowed to three by September 12

  9. High School Resumes Will save you time Will need the following information: School activities by grade level 9-12 Leadership roles in those activities Awards and Honors Community Activities – Volunteer Work Enrichment Activities Work Experience

  10. Scholarships/Financial Aid • Most scholarships are based on your ACT/SAT scores. ACT = 27 SAT = 1175 Math+RC • Most scholarship opportunities/applications will be found on the college website under Financial Aid. • Monthly Senior Newsletter • Federal & State Financial Aid is based on family income. Regardless of family income you will need to apply for financial aid through the FAFSA application (not available until January 1)

  11. College Majors • Research if you are undecided • Research further if you have an idea. • If you are not sure which direction to go, see Mrs. Moyer or Mrs. Ayers
