Headteacher – Mrs Ann Herridge B.Ed (Hons) Email office@cheselbourne.dorset.sch.uk Happy New Year It is great to see everyone back although a number of you have been poorly over the Christmas holidays. We have had emails from County re the flu problems, especially involving children, so do take care and call for medical assurance if you see any signs. As most of you are aware I have a broken arm but my husband is driving me in so I am in school. I feel immensely blessed that my accident happened within the Cheselbourne boundaries as the community came out to support me, drive me to hospital and my car home on a night when no one should have been out at all. Huge ‘Thank yous’ to the Waddells and Warrens who did the AA and ambulance work!! Info from Newsletter sent on 7th January 2010

Please do pop in and have a look to see if any of it belongs to your family. I know this is particularly difficult for our ‘bus’ families. The clothes are really good quality! Recorder club begins on Monday lunchtime so please ensure your child has their recorder with them. Also violin lessons for Y3 and Y4 starts on Monday. Headteacher – Mrs Ann Herridge B.Ed (Hons) Email office@cheselbourne.dorset.sch.uk Hot School Meals We have had a letter from Cygnet during the last week of term stating that if meals are cancelled ‘on the day’ due to bad weather the company are unable to refund the money as they will have prepared the meals already. This is to inform you that this will be happening from now on, it doesn’t affect last term’s payments. Unfortunately closing the school at short notice is sometimes unavoidable. Recently I found similar information given to me on a child protection course extremely useful.
