  1. Kovrov is our town Никулина Мария /Никулин Алексей/ 11 «Б» класс

  2. Kovrov is situated in Vladimir region on the banks of the Klazma river, 250 kms far from Moscow. The town was founded in 1778.

  3. Kovrovers remember and honour the well known people of the past: Abelman, Degtyarev, Lopatin. Their names are famous to every citizen of our country.

  4. Kovrov is an industrial town. It is famous for its motor – cycles and excavators. Our town is green and beautiful.

  5. The main street is Lenin Avenue. The central square is Freedom Square. Parades and demonstrations were held there. The Eternal Flame is in Victory Square.

  6. You can see there a monument to those who fall in the war against fascism for the country’s freedom. There are monuments to Lenin, Degtyarev, Shpagin in our town too.

  8. We have two music schools, 24 schools, many colleges, a Technical Academy, some stadiums, a local museum, some parks, many houses of culture , cinemas, libraries, hotels

  9. Sport is popular with kovrovers, especially motor races and motor-ball, trial. Our motor-ball team is one of the best in the country.

  10. We like my native town and we are proud of it. We’ll do our best to make the town more beautiful.
