2. Theme • Last year’s theme: Khilafat and Khulafa’ • Several KCC year’s programs so far • Now time for pondering over our responsibilities for continuation of this blessing • Self analysis and Self reflection • First and foremost step is obedience

3. Surah Al-Nur • 52. The response of the believers, when they are called to Allah and His Messenger in order that they may judge between them, is only that they say: ‘We hear and we obey.’ And it is they who will prosper. • 53. And whoso obeys Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah, and takes Him as shield for protection, it is they who will be successful

4. Surah Al-Nur • 54. And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that, if thou command them, they surely go forth. Say, ‘Swear not; what is required is actualobedience in what is right. Surely, Allah is well aware of what you do.’ • 55. Say, ‘Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger.’ But if you turn away, then upon his is his burden, and upon you is your burden. And if you obey him, you will be rightly guided. And the messenger is not responsible but for the plain delivery of the message. • 56. Allah has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth as He made Successors from among those who were before them;………….

5. Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih I ra • If you do want to render bai’at to me, then listen: bai’at means to be sold. Once Hazrat Sahib hinted to me not to think about the homeland; after that all my honor and entire contemplation became affiliated with him and I never thought about the homeland. So offering bai’at is a tough undertaking. One relinquishes his freedom and eminence. This is the reason Allah named His man “abd” [servant/slave]. • Now, wherever your natures are inclined, you will have to obey my commands. Al-Hakm, Number7, Volume12, dated 6 June 1908

6. Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih II ra • And for the sake of Allah Almighty’s pleasure, obey me. • Yes, I repeat and I repeat again that do not disobey me in “Amar bil ma’roof” [injunction to good]. If you act with obedience and loyalty and strengthen this pledge, then remember that Allah Almighty’s grace will support us and our combined prayers will succeed. • I tell you again and I tell you gain and I tell you again: Now that you have taken bai’at and established an association with me after the Promised Messiah AS; now in this association manifest a model of faithfulness. 7. Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V aba True faith cannot advance without a ‘second manifestation’. Therefore keep a link of love, sincerity and devotion with it, make your zeal for obedience to Khilafat everlasting. Develop the fervor of your love for it to such an extent that all other relationships appear trivial compared to it. All blessings are in loyalty to the Imam and this alone is a shield for you against all trouble and strife.

8. Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V aba So, if you aim to progress and be triumphant over the world, then my advice to you and my message for you is to maintain a bond with Khilafat and to firmly hold onto this cord of Allah. All our advancements are inherently dependant on a bond with Khilafat. May Allah help and support you and may He enable you to be inspired to a supreme sense of sincerity and devotion with the Khilafat e Ahmadiyya.
