Introduction • Intranets are used for “Internet style” transfer of information • within a particular organisation or ‘community’ • Source of information for the organisation, regional offices, branches, etc. • Also can be extended to “Extranets” • if including customers, partners and suppliers • A “controlled” portion of the Internet • With anyone specifically granted access permission CP2022 - Multimedia Internet Communication
