  1. Just one day and you’ll KARIONG MOUNTAINS HIGH CANTEEN Volunteer Volunteer “ MY FIRST DAY” The day has come, it’s time to go. There’s probably no-one there I know, I wonder what I’ll have to do. I think that everyone else is new, I’m afraid of what it’s all about, But I’m sure that someone will help me out. After all I know some have survived, Even from the first day they arrived. Yes I’ll be brave and off I’ll go, I’m not even going to put on a show. The day seems long and it’s only a lunch, But I think there I’ll be time to eat some lunch. The works not hard, I’ve done it before. I’m sure I’ll be back to do some more. Well I’m home again and I’ve made a friend, And none of the children did offend. The day is over and I’m glad I’ve been, It’s not so bad when you do canteen. By Gertrude Volunteer So many people think volunteering in the school canteen is scary. Not true. Just volunteer as a one off, no commitments and make up your own mind. It’s really not that bad. It wont cost you a thing lunch & Drinks are Free Tea & Coffee are Free And the Entertainment & View are Fantastic.
