It is measured at 7 mA and flowing from right to left. Let’s loop leftward (down stream) At the resistor V = IR = 15 x 103 ohms x 7 x 10-3 A downhill = -105 Volts At the capacitor since C= Q/V then V = Q/C =50 x 10-6 C/ 0.5 x 10 -6 F = 100 V going leftward is – to + so that’s a + voltage drop Ans looping leftward through the battery is + to - which is a voltage drop of – 15 volts Vab = -105 + 100 - 15 = - 20 Volts
