  1. ACOUSTICSENGINEERING

  2. What is acoustics engineering? • Acoustics engineering is the engineering of sound and vibration.

  3. Educational requirements • In terms of education, you might consider majoring in architecture or architectural engineering.  Or, acousticians often have backgrounds in physics or mechanical engineering. In summary, it is suggested that an acoustical consultant get an education in any of the following areas: •  Science •  Electrical Engineering •  Mechanical Engineering •  Math •  Music •  Architectural •  Physics •     Many acoustical consultants emphasize the value of communication skills.    The University of Hartford offers a program that combines music and acoustical engineering.  Other schools that offer acoustics programs are Auburn, Penn State, Univ. of Texas, Univ. of Houston, and Purdue.

  4. Income of acoustic engineering The income for acoustic engineering is very similar to industrial engineering.

  5. Professional Organizations In acoustical engineering there are hundreds of jobs you can be apart of in acoustical engineering. You can be an instrument maker, musical software maker, sound measurer, and many more.

  6. Gibson Guitars • Gibson Guitars is an example of an acoustical engineering professional organization. The company has to deal with almost every kind of acoustical engineering ideas. The Gibson factory

  7. Instruments of acoustic engineering • There are 6 types of acoustic engineering measuring instruments.1. Dirac2. Zircon3. Pyrite4. Sabin5. Triton6. Amphion

  8. Dirac • Dirac is a acoustic software engineering system that impulse, response, and calculates various room acoustical parameters.

  9. Zircon • Zircon is a loudspeaker microphone used for measuring situ. Situ is the absorption and reflection properties of a surface

  10. Pyrite • Pyrite is the common name for Omni power sound source type 4292. The pyrite is used for measuring acoustical sound measurements using a uniform spherical sound radiation. The design of this device came from the mineral iron pyrite also known as “fools gold” for the design of the mineral.

  11. Sabin • Sabin is a powerful C.A.D. tool for room acoustical engineering. Sabin determines the acoustical parameters of a user defined room, such as the reverberation time T.60, the sound pressure level, and the R.A.S.T.I. as a measure of speech intelligibility. This technology was discovered by Wallace Clement Sabin on October 29th 1898.

  12. Triton • Triton is a U.S.B. acoustical measurement system. The analog inputs and outputs operate phase-synchronously, thereby allowing the use of techniques, such as with M.L.S. and sweep measurements.

  13. Amphion • Amphion is a compact amp that is used for acoustical measurements in field or laboratory.

  14. Acoustical engineering deals with other engineering jobs. • Acoustical engineering deals with other types of engineers. Industrial, electrical, architectural, and many more.

  15. Industrial • Acoustical engineering deals with industrial by how industrial creates acoustical objects. Guitars, amps, measuring instruments, microphones, speakers, etc.

  16. Electrical • Acoustical engineering deals with electrical by how acoustical objects may need electricity to run by. A lot of acoustical engineering ideas must use electricity in order to work such as amps, microphones, speakers and much more.

  17. Architectural • Architectural is a very important part of acoustic engineering. For example the acoustic guitar is designed to make its sound. If the design was wrong then the sound would also be wrong and would not sound the way it should.
