This project showcases the practical applications of G-Sensors in various domains such as gaming (Wii), mobile phones (photo browser), and fitness devices (music pacer). By conducting a thorough analysis of 3-axis acceleration readings (Ax, Ay, Az) at a sampling rate of 20 samples/sec, we will log and plot data from different actions, such as golfing and aerobics, using two sensors. The project aims to observe and analyze the waveforms generated, discuss potential applications, and combine findings with existing technologies like GPS. A presentation will be arranged for the final class.

Project Description(for bonus) • Choose a specific action and log 3-axis acceleration samples measured by some G-Sensors. • Golfing, batting, pitching, exercise, aerobics, stretching, … • Plot the corresponding waveforms. • Make observation and analyze the behavior of the waveforms. • Discuss a potential application of your results. • Give an example. • Possibly combined with existing techniques, e.g. GPS.
