Board Formation • Board formed as a mandate as a result of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 • “Grandfathered” alternative entity • Members appointed by Governor and represent four industries across the State and four members of his cabinet • Members serve two, three or four year terms • Members serve on one of five Standing Committees (Continuous Improvement, Operations, Policy, Strategic Planning, and Executive Committees) www.tn.gov/labor-wfd/wfboard
