  5. FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

  6. Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) was founded in 1961. Development of industry and the need for graduated engineers in all the fields of electrical engineering caused fast growing of the Faculty. We had more than 2000 graduate (5 years) and postgraduate (2 years) students and about 22000 m2 of premises for teaching and R&D. Today ETF- Sarajevo is still recovering from the devastating war 1992-95 Worked without interruption on several location 4 Departments with over 1200 students 107 teaching staff, with 4 academicians, 46 Ph.D, 32 M.Sc.

AUTOMATIC CONTROL & ELECTRONICS In addition to educational activities we are in the area of: - Mathematical modelling - Methods of multicriterial choice of alternatives - Application of optimization methodology - Robots, robotic systems and robotization of processes - Analog / digital electronic systems and devices - Power electronics - Automatic control system - Special application electronics - Data acquisition, measurements, supervision and control systems

POWER SYSTEMS In addition to education we are in the area of: - Transmission, distribution and industrial systems - Electromagnetic transients in power systems - Economic utilization of power factor correction and the design of capacitor banks in systems with voltage distortion problems - Cathodic protection systems - Electrochemistry and electrostatics

COMPUTER SCIENCES & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES In addition to education we are in the area of: - Management Information Systems - Technical Information Systems - Software Engineeting - Expert Systems - Local Area Networks - Node Centre for Wide Area Networks - Data Bases and Administration - Feasibility studies of Information Systems - Projects in Information Technologies - Supervising and user education support - System and Application Software - Hardware and Software Systems and Components - Various Programming Languages

TELECOMMUNICATIONS In addition to education we are in the area of: - Spatial planning in telecommunications - Long/medium-term telecomm planning - Telecommunication networks, transmission systems - Studies of organization of local networks - Investment programs for switching and transmission systems and telecommunication networks  - Technical solutions for switching/cable/satellite/multiplex systems, and telecommunication networks, etc. - Investment - technical documentation - New telecommunication services - Specific standard in telecommunication domain - Modern radio and television equipment
