  2. District Mission The mission of the San Antonio Independent School District is to graduate all students as responsible citizens with the academic and social preparation to pursue higher education, join the military, or enter the workforce.

  3. District Beliefs • Excellence and equity in student performance are achievable for all students. • No child will be left behind. • The teacher is the program. • People support what they help create. • Change comes from within.

Gold Performance Indicators (“special recognition” categories for state accountability) • These include: • Attendance Rate • Percent of Senior receiving Recommended/Distinguished Diplomas • Percent of Seniors Taking SAT/ACT • Percent of Seniors meeting a set criterion on SAT/ACT • Percent of Students Taking Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate classes • Percent passing AP exams

  8. Comparison of State (TAKS Only) and Federal Accountability (TAKS and SDAA II on Grade Level) *Figure includes students in special education whether taking TAKS or not…a certain percent are counted.
