Discovering Myself: A Journey Through Family, Friends, and Favorites

Hi, I'm Kayla Dang! I live with my dad, mom, sister, brother, and grandma, and I'm the oldest of three kids. We're a blend of Vietnamese and Mexican heritage, with my dad from Vietnam and my mom from Texas. I love reading, especially books about magic and realistic fiction, with favorites including Twilight and The Hunger Games. I enjoy hanging out with trustworthy friends and playing family games. My favorite music genres are Pop, Hip-hop, and Indie. Foodwise, Pho and nachos top my list, and I can't resist desserts like ice cream. Join me on my journey of self-discovery!

  2. My Family • I live with my dad, mom, sister, brother, and grandma. • I am the oldest out of three kids. • Me my brother and sister are half Vietnamese and Mexican. • My dad is from Vietnam and my mom is from Texas. • Me and my siblings were born in Des Moines.

  3. reading • I like to read books about magic, realistic fiction, and some time books that take place in the 1800’s • My favorite book series' are : Twilight, The Hunger Games, The Mortal Interments, Divergent, and The Infernal devices. • I also like to read Manga. • I like to read books with a bit of different languages in them. • I’m currently reading the Paper Gods series.

  4. My friends • My best friends I met this year and from my old school. • Me and my friends like play family; everyone calls me Grandma or Mom. • I like to friends who are trustworthy and don’t embarrass each other. • I enjoy hanging out with my friends.

  5. Music I enjoy • The type of music I like is Pop, Hip-hop, and Indie music. • My favorite bands are One Direction, Little Mix ,and 5seconds of Summer. • I like also like instrumental music. • Last year I played the flute for a while.

  6. Food • My favorite food is Pho’ (Vietnams noddle's) and Nachos. • I like to eat cultural food like: pastas, traditional dishes, and popular foods. • My favorite drinks are smoothies. • I like deserts like ice cream and cakes.
