  5. Career • Lau joined TVB’s Artist Training Program in 1981. • After he met director Wong Jing, he soon became a popular star.

  6. Career • He appeared as gangster Wah-Dee in A Moment of Romance (1990), a role which has come to be regarded as Lau's most career-defining character.

  7. Career • In recent years, Lau has continued to demonstrate his ability as a box-office guarantee, headlining the Media Asia productions Cat and Mouse .

Achievements • Released 116 records from 1985-2003 and 118 movies from 1981-2003 • 1990 - The song, "Can I?" went triple platinum • 1991 - Over 1.5 million records were sold in SE Asia • 1993 - People Magazine voted him as one of Taiwan's top four artists • 1994 - Andy received the Billboard and Channel V "Most Popular Artist in Asia Award”

Achievements • 1995 - Andy received the MTV channel "Asia Most All-rounded Artist Award" • 1996 - Andy again received the Billboard and Channel V "Most Popular Artist in Asia Award" • 1999 – Andy won Best Actor Award at the Hong Kong Film Awards for "Running Out of Time" • 2000 - Guinness Book of Records: Most Canto-pop Awards
