  4. Student and Community Impact • Over the past year, Tyler and CCWA served more than 21,300 learners • After completing their educational goals/leaving college, approximately: • 95%of John Tyler students remain in Virginia • 80%of Tyler students stay in the college’s service region

  5. Chester Campus Renovation & Expansion Project • $34 million construction project • Nicholas Center – Renovation and Expansion • 24,500 sq. ft. addition for a new workforce development center • Technical skills lab • Conference and meeting spaces; classrooms; and student support • Bird Hall Renovation • Nursing and EMS classes and high-tech labs • Natural science labs • Project to be completed in early fall 2019

Tyler’s Programs • 80 majors, including transfer programs and programs leading directly to employment • More than 35 transfer agreements • Opportunities to learn in high-tech labs, earn industry-recognized credentials, and connect to internships and jobs • Needs Assessments in Progress • IT Programs • Healthcare Programs

Community College Workforce Alliance • Trained nearly 700 Chesterfield residents in various courses and certification programs • Worked with 21 Chesterfield organizations, including: • HillPhoenix • Joyce Engineering • Call Federal Credit Union • Chesterfield County Department of Social Services • Participated in outreach efforts in the county, including: • Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce events and meetings • Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors presentation • Greater Southport Association meetings • Midlothian Business Alliance meetings

Community College Workforce Alliance • Fast Forward Program • 1875 students enrolled since program inception • 2279 industry credentials attained • 37 local and regional industries have hired Fast Forward completers or accessed Fast Forward for employee training and upskilling • Fast Forward credentialing programs currently available in Manufacturing, Logistics, Trades and Construction, Customer Service, and Health Care Careers • Fast Forward credentials first step in registered apprenticeship • Tyler and CCWA are working to connect Fast Forward credentials to college credits
