  2. PTO Service Points Basic Rules • 服務保證金 - Service Point Deposit • 需要完成的點數 –Required Service Points • 點數以每一小時服務一點為原則 – One Service Point for Each Hour Served. • 班上值班要求 –Mandatory Classroom Duty

  3. How to Earn PTO Points • Opportunities for Service Points: • Class(room) Duties • Admin and Routine Duties • Large or Special Event Duties

  4. Class(room) Duties • Class(room) Duties • Room Parent Leader (RPL) – 30 Points • Co-RPLs – 15 Points (2 co-RPLs per Class) • Room Parent Assistant – 5 Points (Treasurer, Sports Day Class Leader, & Party Planner) • Room Parent – 1 Point Per Hour Served

  5. Admin and Routine Duties • Admin work for ICS and PTO (1 point per hour served) • Information Desk • Traffic Control • Safety Patrol on Campus • Library

  6. Large / Special Event Duties • Homework / Conversation Club Assistant • Monthly Fundraising Committee • 15 Service Points for Committee Member • Monthly Breakfast and Lunch Sales • New Year Celebration • February 2013

Large / Special Event Duties – cont. • Sports Day Support Team • Collecting Students Applications from RPL’s, Serving at Sports Day Information Desk, etc. • 10 Service Points • March and April 2013 • Sports Day Volunteers • Assisting in set up, clean up, 50 meter races, 100 meter races, relays, long jumps, fun games, class competition, etc. • Sports Day in April 2013

  8. Volunteer Duty Sign Up Procedure Class(room) duties • RPL and Co-RPL: • Decide within each class • Inform PTO Board • Room Parent Assistant & Room Parent: • Sign up with your class’s RPL

  9. Volunteer Duty Sign Up Procedure – cont. Admin and Routine Duties • Signup open in first week of each month for following month’s duties • Exact signup dates announced in the weekly announcement emails • Maximum two sign ups per month per family • Signup sheets available at the School Information Desk

  10. Volunteer Duty Sign Up Procedure – cont. Large / Special Event • Signup available two to three months prior to the events • Exact signup dates announced in the weekly announcement emails • Signup procedure to be determined later and to be announced in the weekly announcement emails

Sports Day • Move to April 2013 (exact date TBC) • Establish Sports Day Committee & Support Team • Improve on Application Collection Process • Improve on Volunteer Signup Procedure • Require More Training on Volunteers • Earn Points at Training Sessions • Create More Opportunity to Earn Service Points

  12. Fundraising • No Carnival • Sale of Ranch 99 Gift Cards • Bi-Monthly Breakfast and Lunch Sale • Help Busy Parents with Hungry Children • Breakfast – Pancakes, Donuts, Chinese Breakfast • Lunch – Sandwiches, 飯糰，肉粽，Food Trucks • Volunteers Needed

  13. Homework and Conversation Club • Lunch Time – 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays • Help Busy Parents and Non-Chinese-Speaking Families • Need Parent Volunteers • Opportunity to Earn Service Points • Need High School Volunteers • Opportunity to Earn Community Service Hours
