There are many ways to store jewellery. But remember that some of them are harmful. The proper way to store jewellery rely on  factors such as materials used, the type of jewellery, and how much the jewellery value. Often, how you store jewellery is a personal choice.   3. Ensure jewellery is clean and dry Before storing your jewellery, make sure they are dry and clean. Moisture can cause the metal to tarnish and degrade faster. If you wore a silver necklace in heavy rain, be sure to dry it off before putting it back. It is recommended to remove tarnish from ornaments that will be in storage for more than a week. Storing dirty jewellery for a longer period can result in premature and excessive tarnishing. The felt helps to absorb excessive moisture and prevent premature tarnishing. Keep your large jewelleries separately inside a felt pouch or wrapped in a silver polishing cloth to restrict exposure to the air.  Fine jewellery should be stored away from direct sunlight. This is because some stones can be damaged by extended exposure to UV light. Keep pearls in a wooden box that has a felt lining inside. Never choose a plastic box to store pearls because plastic can interact with the pearls and cause them to deteriorate. Store different types of jewellery individually and make sure the jewellery is not touching the inside portion of the luxury jewelry box. If you keep your jewellery out in the open, you will notice that tarnishes quickly lower the relative humidity of a room.
