  4. God’s First Expectation Psalms 144:15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

  5. God’s First Expectation Gratitude, rejoicing, benevolence, trust in God's love and care--these are health's greatest safeguard. They are to be the very keynote of life. Ministry of Healing,

  6. Health’s Greatest Safeguards • Gratitude • Rejoicing • Benevolence • Trust in God's love and care

  7. According to the Scriptures Neh 8: 9, 10 …Mourn not, nor weep (Gratitude) …Eat the fat, and drink the sweet, Rejoice) and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared… (Benevolence) neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (Trust in God’s love and care)

  8. Worry an enemy to happiness • Worry is like a rocking chair, it keeps us moving but gets us nowhere.

Warriorvs. Worrier • Listens to his commander • Does not concern himself with the results • Makes choices based on commands • Enjoys surety of steps • Listens to suggestions • Concerned about results • Makes choices based on foreseeable consequences • Worries that the next step may be a landmine.

  10. Warrior vs. Worrier • It is in God’s hands • My Bible is my modus operandi • It’s in my hands • My views and feelings is my modus operandi

  11. Warrior • 2Tim 2:4, 3 No man that warrethentangleth himself with the affairs of this life (worries); that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. • Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

  12. HOW? Happiness is actually a safeguard to health? Happiness describes the state of mind. Health describe the state of body. Holinessdescribe the state of the spirit. Each a safeguard of the other.

  13. WHY? Why is happiness a safeguard? If we are not happy, how then can we be holy or healthy? It is a good starting point.

  14. Be Happy when God disciplines you Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

  15. If you waiting on God – Be Happy Psalm 146:5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

  16. If you keep God’s law- Be Happy Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

  17. If you keep God’s Word- Be Happy John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

  18. We are enduring –Be happy James 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

  19. Fulness of Joy… John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

  20. Fulness of Joy… Endorphins “The Feel Good” Hormone

  21. Let God be in full control… DO NOT have any other god controlling your mind. Love the Lord with all your mind.
