  2. Grand Canyon Grand Canyon National Park, a World Heritage Site, encompasses 1,218,375 acres and lies on the Colorado Plateau in northwestern Arizona. The land is semi-arid and consists of raised plateaus and structural basins typical of the southwestern United States. It is 6,000 feet deep at its deepest point and 15 miles at its widest. However, the significance of Grand Canyon is not limited to its geology.

  3. Arizona Arizona is a state of the United States of America located in the southwestern region of the United States. The capital and largest city is Phoenix. Arizona is noted for its desert climate, exceptionally hot summers, and mild winters, however it also features pine forests and mountain ranges in the northern high country, with cooler weather than in the lower deserts. In addition to the Grand Canyon, many other national forests, parks, and monuments are located in the state.

  4. Grand Canyon Skywalk The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a unique glass-bottomed cantilever bridge that spans 70 feet (21.34 meters) over the Grand Canyon's rim and sits 4,000 feet (1219 meters) above the Colorado River. It was David Jin who formally presented the idea for the Skywalk to the Tribe in 1996 and funded the construction of the project. The Skywalk is expected to contribute to the long term benefit of the Hualapai Nation and has already become a world famous attraction even before completion of the attached visitor's center, putting the Hualapai Nation on the world's stage.

  5. Johnstone Strait Johnstone Strait is a 110 km channel along the north east coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The strait is between 2.5 km (1.5 miles) and 5 km (3 miles) wide. The Strait is home to approximately 150 orca whales during the summer months, which are often seen by kayakers and boaters packed with tourists.
