On May 22, 2014, Sharon Dadson, Director of Access and Outpatient Service Governance, led a forum to address the implementation of the access policy in specialist clinics. Key challenges identified include issues with data collection in iPM, incomplete referral data due to some not passing through the Access Unit, and the unavailability of automated reports for target processes. New initiatives, such as adding a tab to iPM for improved data collection and implementing electronic triage, are underway to enhance referral management and streamline operations. The project team is focused on stakeholder engagement and evaluating progress.
