Matteson’s DVR:Macbeth through the Matteson Family Recordings AP Literature Fall 2010
What We’re Going to do… Each group will be assigned a show from the current list of recordings on Matteson’s DVR. Tasks to be completed in groups: 1. Assign roles • Write scripts • Rehearse • Perform ABOVE ALL: BE CREATIVE!!!!!!!
For Example: If I were in a group assigned Barbecue University (also on my DVR), I would immediately look at the way the show is structured: • Steve demonstrates how to cook three different items on the grill during each show. Then, I’d ask how my group might adapt this show to Macbeth: Hmmm… I’d probably have Steve feature a couple of guest chefs because they’re cooking for a large banquet… Then, we’d make fun of the way Macbeth probably killed the king to even get the crown. We might name one dish the “Don’t Turn Your Baby Back Ribs on Macbeth”. We might even feature a kitchen visit from the hostess, Lady Macbeth. Perhaps even let her get her lands a little bloody whilst she helps butcher the pig… See where I’m going with this? BE CREATIVE and have fun. We present next class. Each group will assessed on its creativity, delivery, and preparedness.
