Focus op onderzoek • Onderzoek vormt de basis voor de opleiding ‘sociaal werk’ • Onderzoek dienstbaar aan sociaal werkpraktijk • gericht op verbetering en innovatie sociaal werkpraktijken • Onderzoek als sociaal werkpraktijk • cf. sociaal beleidsonderzoek • Sociaal werkpraktijk als middel tot onderzoek • cf. theorievormend onderzoek

Competenties • Academische competenties • In sociaal werk en aanverwante wetenschappen • kennis • Wetenschappelijke competentie • onderzoek en ontwerp • Intellectuele competentie • systematische kritische reflectie; profesisonele houding • Competentie in samenwerken en communiceren • wetenschappelijk en maatschappelijk forum • Maatschappelijke competentie • geschiedenis meenemen • Beroepsspecifieke competentie • Zelfstandig doen van/omgaan met onderzoek

Academische opleiding •  geen ‘voortgezette opleiding’ • zelfde ‘terrein’, maar verschillende benadering •  eigen finaliteit • professionele opleiding: beroep als uitgangspunt • academische opleiding: onderzoek praktijk als uitgangspunt •  samenhang professionele en academische opleiding • Cf. veranderende rol sociaal werker: van dienstverlening en beleidsuitvoering naar ook beleidsvorming en ondersteuning sociale netwerken en sociale leerprocessen • nood aan reflectieve professionalisering

  6. Programma • Instroom professionele bachelor  schakelprogramma • focus op theorievorming • focus op methoden en technieken onderzoek • Statistiek • kwalitatieve onderzoeksmethoden • Instroom academische bachelor  voorbereidingsprogramma • focus op praktijktheorie en stage

  7. De opleiding en de studenten • Academische opleiding  academische context  ‘wennen’ • Professoren en assistenten: toegankelijk én aanspreekbaar • Input studenten • Studentenvertegenwoordiging • Colleges en seminaries • Iedere student telt! Tegelijk: ‘work in progress’
