  2. 2012-2013 Current State • Ask parents to fill out paper form to gather email addresses • Ask parents to join Yahoo group CHALLENGES • Many parents don’t return the paper forms • Parents have difficulty joining the Yahoo group, and some issues cannot be resolved

  3. 2013-2014 proposal • First week of school, paper registration form to be returned to Mrs Bishop for first student grade • Could be attached to handbook, to confirm understanding of expectations • Could include sponsorship/donation request • Class roster and form data entered into spreadsheet for tracking activity through year • Email information loaded from spreadsheet to MailChimp to create distribution lists • Band information communicated via: • AMS Blackboard site by Mrs Bishop • Newsletter (email distribution list) by Marna Carlson and Mrs Bishop via MailChimp • Website by Marna Carlson • Remove Yahoo Group

Communication Channels Blackboard • Handbook • Expectations • Dress Guidelines • Instrument List • Schedule • Meeting Minutes Website • Mission • Donations • Email Sign Up List • Calendar • Meeting Minutes • Fundraiser Advertising Distribution List • Email or newsletter format • Class notes / field trips / information from Mrs Bishop • Fun music events from Marna Carlson • Invitations to meetings, announcements
