Plastic ID cards • All players in the EODSA require a plastic ID card generated by the EODSA • Since April 2015 these have been generated online using the E2E Soccer system • E2E Soccer store the ID card information on their servers so that they can be retrieved at a later date • Starting in May 2016 ID cards that were generated since April 2015 can be retrieved on a mobile app
ID cards on a mobile app • To appear on the mobile app the ID card must • already exist as a plastic card • still be valid • be generated after March 2015 • ID cards on the mobile app offer several benefits that the plastic cards do not offer
Benefit 1 - Convenience • With plastic ID cards calling up players is inconvenient • A team manager may have to travel to meet another team manager to borrow the players ID card • With the mobile app this travel and ID card exchange is not needed. ID cards can be transferred electronically via the internet
Benefit 2 –Back up when cards are forgotten • Frequently cards are forgotten by the player or the team manager resulting in the player sitting out the game or returning home for the card • With the mobile app a team manager will be able to pull the ID card from the server while at the field when cards are forgotten
Benefit 3 – Integration with the league management system • Plastic ID cards have no integration with the leagues management system • The mobile app is integrated with the leagues management system so important information can be displayed • For example on this ID card the player is suspended for game 3088 • For loaned players you can also see the current team that the player is registered with
Benefit 4 – Easier to see • The photograph is much bigger on the mobile app • Plastic cards can fade over time making them hard to see • In poor light cards can be hard to read. The bright background on the mobile app makes it easier to read
About the mobile app • The E2E Soccer League Centre mobile app is available on the Apple iPhone and Android platforms • Blackberry users can also use the Android app • The app is free to download • It is already very popular with players and parents • The following EODSA leagues can use the app • ERSL • NCISL • OCSL • OPDL • Polar Bear League • Southside SL
How the process works • Before the ID card can appear on the mobile app the player will have to generate a plastic ID card from the EODSA web site • Cards generated prior to April 2015 will not appear on the mobile app as they are not stored on the E2E Soccer server
League Management • Only leagues that use the E2E Soccer League Centre system can use the mobile app • In the EODSA the following leagues use League Centre • ERSL • NCISL • OCSL • OPDL • Polar Bear League • Southside SL
Generating the game sheet places the ID cards on the mobile app • Before each game the coach or team manager generates a game sheet • The game sheet will list all call up players and list those under suspension • Once the game sheet is generated the players ID card for that game is integrated with the mobile app • If a game sheet is not generated then the ID card will not appear on the mobile app
