K-11 Boundary Realignment Recommendations for SAHUARITA Schools - Jan 2012

  5. So which students go? • Need to open space at ANZA for middle school students. (Thus, some ANZA student need to go to new K – 5 school. Look at ANZA boundaries.) • Need to take main campus students and sent into ANZA track, in order to balance the tracks. (Need to look at main campus boundaries.)

Open Enrollment to SHS Seniors will be at SHS. • Juniors - Cohort 2014 (11th) • Next years Juniors may apply for open enrollment. • Siblings • If siblings of Cohort 2013 (12th) and approved Cohort 2014 (11th) have siblings that would concurrently attend SHS, may apply for open enrollment. Consideration will be given based upon availability of space. • Sports • Current freshman varsity athletes may open enroll if desired, for the same sport. • *All students who are granted open enrollment, are conditionally approved for 1 year and may remain at SHS, so long as they meet the open enrollment criteria in a qualifying category. Other extenuating circumstancemay be approved. Due to the unavailability of buses, transportation can not be provided for open enrollment students.
