Jordan Vogt-Roberts shared the first script details earlier this year and said that while he won't be "adapting something verbatim," his goal is to "try and translate what the fans want and expect, and to really take the unwieldy, amazing, decades-spanning timeline and have a way to make part of that make sense as a film."

In addition to this, he also directed many episodes of another web series named ‘Single Dads’ from 2009 till 2011. With his artistic approach, he directed a short film in 2009 titled as ‘Mint in a Box’ that was inspired by an episode of the Memoirs of a Manchild.

Later, he directed Kong: Skull Island in 2017, which made over $565 million at the global box office.
