  2. Lab Procedures • Students may not consume food or drink in the lab • This policy will be Strictly Enforced.

  3. Lab Procedures • Students must sign the roll sheet each day to be counted present for class. • It is your responsibility to sign the roll sheet to be counted present for class.

  4. Lab Procedures • Students must have their O-Key user-id, password, and e-mail address by the start of the third day of class. • Students can obtain assistance in getting their O-Key user-id, password, and e-mail address at the computer lab in 002 Willard Hall.

  5. Course Requirements • Textbook (required): • Bott, E., Leonhard, W., (2004), Special Edition Using Microsoft Office 2003,Que publishing, Indianapolis, Indiana,ISBN 0-7897-2955-5.

  6. Course Requirements • All students must have a 2” binder with 10 document protector sheets. • You will need this to hand in various assignments for this class.

  7. Course Requirements • All students must have at least one of the following storage media. This item will be brought to class each day. • A Zip disk in either 100 MB or 250 MB capacity. • A USB portable memory device, 128 MB or larger.

Course Policies • Communication: • Students must use their O-Key e-mail address for all correspondence with the instructor. • E-mail from addresses such as yahoo, hotmail, and your internet service providers will not be opened. • Any assignment sent to the instructor through an e-mail address other than the student’s O-Key e-mail address will be counted as not turned in.

  9. Course Policies • Attendance: • The maximum allowed unexcused absences for the entire course is three (3). • Not showing up for the class lesson or leaving the lab before the class lesson will be considered as an unexcused absence. • University policy allows for the lowering of the earned grade by one letter grade for excessive unexcused absences. This policy will be followed.

Course Policies • Reading Assignments: • The assigned reading from the text and/or other sources is to be accomplished before the class meeting it is assigned for. • Example: If a class meets on October 18, the reading assignment for that class is to be accomplished before class time on October 18.

  11. Course Policies • Download Assignments: • The assigned downloads for any classes are to be accomplished before the class meeting it is assigned for. • Example: If a class meets on October 18, the download assignment for thatclass is to be accomplished before class time on October 18.

Course Policies • Performance Assignments: • Assignments must be sent to the instructorby e-mail attachment. • The date and time of the e-mail will determine the date of submission. • Example: An assignment due on the 18th of October must have a date and time for the 18th of October. • 18 October @ 11:59:59 PM will be considered on-time. • 19 October @ 00:00:01 AM will be considered late.

  13. Course Policies • Late assignments: • Assignments must be turned in on time to receive the full grade. • Late assignments will be reduced by onefull letter grade. • Arrangement to turn in an assignment after the due date may be approved by the instructor. • This arrangement must be requested by e-mail at least 72 hours prior to the due date and time.

  14. Day 01 Assignment • Sign both pages of Handout 01 and return it to the instructor by the end of classon Day 03. • Go to: Http:// www.electronicportfolio.org/day01evalperform the study exercise. • Follow the on-screen directions to perform the assignment.
