Attendance • You are requested to come to class every day. • You are expected to come to class on time. • You must bring a note from your parent if you are absent or late. • All absences which are uninformed will be considered as absent.
Participation • Students are also required and are encourage to actively participate during class discussion. • In active class participation, you will need to exercise critical thinking that requires you to go beyond the basic recall of information. • You must listen to the questions and ideas shared by other students
Homework • All homework must be turned in at the beginning of the class when it is due • No late homework will be accepted without prior consultation with me. I will grant extensions at my discretion.
Practical work • Equipment is always set up and put away in an orderly manner a group at a time. • Managing groups in particular is key in ensuring differentiation. • We have stools round the room to use with keyboards and chairs at the desks so no moving of furniture required.
Assesment • Assessment shall be conducted in accordance with the Principles of Assessment (Attachment). • To ensure that all processes for student assessment are transparent, accountable, • Flexible & maintains consistent academic standards. • To ensure that each assessment task is designed to fulfill the outcomes and objectives • of the unit to which it relates.
