ENCUESTA SOBRE USO DEL TIEMPO RESULTADOS • PERMITE MEDIR EL EMPLEO DEL TIEMPO DE HOMBRES Y MUJERES Y COMPARARLOS. • CONSTATA COMPORTAMIENTOS DE MUJERES Y HOMBRES SEGÚN SU SITUACIÓN ANTE EL EMPLEO, NIVEL EDUCACIONAL, ESTADO CIVIL, ZONA URBANA Y RURAL Y DEMUESTRA UNA TENDENCIA AL DESARROLLO DE LA CAPACIDAD BÁSICA DE LA MUJER, NO OBSTANTE LAS DIFERENCIAS EN EL ÁMBITO PRIVADO DEL HOGAR AÚN NO ESTÁN RESUELTAS. • APORTA ELEMENTOS NUEVOS EN CUANTO AL EMPLEO DEL TIEMPO ENTRE MUJERES Y HOMBRES. • PERMITE A LAS AUTORIDADES A NIVEL LOCAL DISPONER DE INFORMACIÓN PARA TRAZAR POLÍTICAS CON ENFOQUE DE GÉNERO.

ENCUESTA SOBRE USO DEL TIEMPO RESULTADOS • CONTRIBUYE A LA JUSTA MEDICIÓN DEL APORTE DE LA MUJER AL PROCESO ECONÓMICO Y SOCIAL. • LOS RESULTADOS SOLO CARACTERIZAN Y SON REPRESENTATIVOS DE CADA MUNICIPIO PARTICIPANTE. SIN EMBARGO, EXISTEN RESULTADOS COMUNES PARA TODOS LOS MUNICIPIOS QUE JUSTIFICAN LA REALIZACIÓN DE UNA ENCUESTA PARA TODO EL PAÍS. • ES LA PRIMERA ENCUESTA DE ESTE TIPO QUE SE REALIZA EN AMÉRICA LATINA CON ESTAS CARACTERÍSTICAS. ESTA EXPERIENCIA PUEDE SER UTILIZADA EN LA COOPERACIÓN HORIZONTAL EN LA REGIÓN.

ENCUESTA SOBRE USO DEL TIEMPO Trabajo No Remunerado • En la mayoría de los países las mujeres trabajan más que los hombres, y los resultados de esta encuesta en los cinco municipios investigados así lo confirman, sólo cuando se integren el valor social y económico del trabajo no remunerado de las mujeres existirá el reconocimiento que este merece.

ENCUESTA SOBRE USO DEL TIEMPO Categoría Ocupacional • La mujer cubana ha incrementado los niveles de presencia en los diferentes cargos de dirección, como resultado del aumento de su nivel cultural y de una mayor integración al trabajo social, sin embargo existen contradicciones en estos avances • Dentro del grupo de mujeres por categoría ocupacional se destaca el tiempo asignado a las tareas domésticas de las técnicas.

REQUIERE DE UN MAYOR TIEMPO DE PREPARACIÓN Y REALIZACIÓN QUE EL ACTUAL UTILIZADO. • UN ASPECTO NOVEDOSO ES QUE LA POBLACIÓN ENCUESTADA ES LA QUE LLENA EL CUESTIONARIO. • REALIZAR LA ENCUESTA EN LA ZONA RURAL REQUIERE DE TRANSPORTACIÓN PARA LOS ENCUESTADORES Y SUPERVISORES PARA PODER LLEGAR A ZONAS DE DIFÍCIL ACCESO. • DIVULGACIÓN ADECUADA PARA QUE LA POBLACIÓN CONOZCA SOBRE LA REALIZACIÓN DE LA ENCUESTA. • EL FORTALECIMIENTO DE LA CAPACIDAD DE ANÁLISIS A NIVEL LOCAL. SE LOGRA PASAR DE UNA SIMPLE CAPTACIÓN DE DATOS AL ANÁLISIS DE RESULTADOS EN LOS MUNICIPIOS. • LA E.U.T. ES COMPLICADA EN SU DISEÑO, CAPTACIÓN Y PROCESAMIENTO.

ENCUESTA SOBRE USO DEL TIEMPO DIRECTRICES DE INVESTIGACIÓN A MEDIANO PLAZO • LA ENCUESTA SOBRE EL USO DEL TIEMPO BRINDA UNA BASE DE DATOS QUE PERMITE REALIZAR INVESTIGACIONES QUE PUEDEN SER DE GRAN UTILIDAD PARA EL DESARROLLO LOCAL. ALGUNOS DE ESTOS ASPECTOS NO HAN SIDO ABORDADOS HASTA EL MOMENTO COMO: • Medir la intensidad del trabajo doméstico no remunerado. Esto es posible dado que se cuantificó las actividades que se realizan de forma simultánea. • Profundizar en el ámbito privado del hogar en cuanto al empleo del tiempo considerando la relación de parentesco. • Interrelacionar las condiciones de las viviendas y el uso del combustible doméstico, con la distribución del tiempo entre las distintas actividades que se agrupan dentro del trabajo doméstico no remunerado.

ENCUESTA SOBRE USO DEL TIEMPO DIRECTRICES DE INVESTIGACIÓN A MEDIANO PLAZO • LA ENCUESTA SOBRE EL USO DEL TIEMPO BRINDA UNA BASE DE DATOS QUE PERMITE REALIZAR INVESTIGACIONES QUE PUEDEN SER DE GRAN UTILIDAD PARA EL DESARROLLO LOCAL. ALGUNOS DE ESTOS ASPECTOS NO HAN SIDO ABORDADOS HASTA EL MOMENTO COMO: • Cantidad de personas por viviendas, niños, ancianos e impedidos físicos y el empleo del tiempo entre mujeres y hombres en atención a estas personas. • Vincular la tenencia de bienes de uso duradero con el tiempo dedicado al trabajo doméstico no remunerado y al tiempo libre. • Analizar el empleo del tiempo de acuerdo a los niveles de ingreso de los hogares. • Medición del trabajo doméstico no remunerado con el objetivo de construir las cuentas satélites de los hogares.
