  12. Budget Expenditures • This is not what you budgeted for the year – it is what you actually spent. • Note: You all received at least 2 years of money up front but need to be within you Year 1 budget. • You’ll need to explain underspending later in budget narrative.

  14. Indirect Cost Questions • If you can’t answer the questions related to indirect costs, you probably should reconsider taking them. • Indirect costs cannot exceed 10%. • See information provided from RESNA webinar.

  18. Project Status Chart • Report on those objectives for Year 1 only. • If you will achieve objective after the report is due but before Year 2 begins, report in Year 2. • Report on those objectives essential to the progress of your program.

  22. Explanation of Progress • Did you achieve the stated objective? • If not, why not? • What will you do to achieve it and by when? • Or, why should this objective be eliminated? • Will it be replaced with something new? • If replacing, what will you do to achieve it and by when?

Carryover of Funds • If you did not use all of your Year 1 budget: • “a grantee may expend funds that have not been obligated at the end of a budget period for obligations of the subsequent budget period if . . . the obligation is for an allowable expense that falls within the scope and objectives of the project” (EDGAR).

  26. Liquidation of Funds Liquidation of obligations: A grantee must liquidate all obligations incurred under the award not later than 90 days after the end of the funding period (EDGAR).
