THE WORLD BEST TOP MASS MEASUREMENT The JINR/CDF Team of J.Budagov, G.Chlachidze, V.Glagolev, F.Prokoshyn, A.Sissakian, I.Suslov together with G.Bellettini (INFN) and G.Velev(FNAL) contributed strongly to the M(top) measurement in p p -> t t +… : World Best : MTOP= 173.5 +3.7/-3.6 (stat.) +/- 1.3 (syst.) “Lepton + jets” mode A New Precise: MTOP= 169.8 + 9.2/-9.3 (stat.) +/- 3.8 (syst.) “Dilepton” mode B A B E1-2005-131 JINR Communications E1-2005-129 TJH: JINR 50th, 3/27/2006

  18. A new examination of and old question (Still !) One of the most compelling questions in modern Nuclear Physics is what role quark and gluon degrees of freedom play in nuclear structure and in the dynamic of nuclear matter! TJH: JINR 50th, 3/27/2006

  30. R & D on Advanced Detectors ODYSSEY Orbiter MissionHEND: High Energy Neutron Detector. First Results:HEND has 4 signals of neutrons from sensors SD, MD, LD and SC/IN, and for each of them the map of orbital measurements is currently produced. The map of MD sensor is contributed by epithermal neutrons mainly left. This MD map is consistent with the map for epithermal neutrons from Neutron Spectrometer. Count rate over the South Pole is 5-10 times lower (blue region) – doubtless water presence. TJH: JINR 50th, 3/27/2006
