  2. V. 3- Arrogant and self confident V. 3- Strong defenses of mountain and stone V. 6- Riches V. 7- Allies, friends V. 8- Wise men, wisdom V. 9- Soldiers, mighty men EdOM WAS SECURE IN HER INSECURITY

  3. V. 10- Had attacked God’s people V. 11- Non-involvement policy made them participants V. 12- enjoyed the misfortune of others V. 13- Profited from the misfortune of others V. 14- mob mentality They Should have been insecure

  4. This was not a success ! V. 15- Day of the Lord was a day to reap V. 17-18- The people of God would live on V. 18-20- The people of God would have it all WHAT WOULD BE THE END?

  5. Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come. Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:11-12 ESV) What does all this mean to us? For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4 ESV)

What does all this mean to us? • What are we secure in? • Self- confidence • Like a stone mountain • Financially confident • Plenty of support • Strong spiritual fighter • Full of wisdom • Any reason for insecurity? • Ever attack Christians • Non-involvement policy • Enjoy others misfortune • Gave into mob mentality Are you helping the Babylonians instead of your own family?
