  2. KingNeptune • Neptune was named after a roman god. • King Neptune was a roman god that controlled the sea. Before he was named king of the sea, he was called king of the streams.

  3. Wind Speeds • Neptunes winds speeds are very high. Neptune has the highest wind speeds. • The wind speeds can get up to 2,000 km\h. • Since Neptune has very high wind speeds, Neptune spins very fast in its orbit so the planet is very cold. • The average temperature on Neptune is -200 degrees Celsius. Its also anomaly that Neptunes south pole is 10 degrees warmer than the north.

  4. Neptunes Twin • Uranus is Neptunes twin. There about the same size. • The only difference is that Uranus is tilted on its side.

  5. Ring system • Neptune has a faint ring system like most planets. • Neptunes ring system is mostly made out of dust particles that were left over when Neptune was created.

  6. The Atmosphere • Neptunes atmosphere is mostly made out of hydrogen and helium. • 74% is hydrogen, 25% is helium, and 1% methane. • Has icy clouds and enormous storms. The icy particles give Neptune its dark blue color. • Neptunes dark spot is a Earth-sized hurricane in the thick methane atmosphere. The storm spins counterclockwise. • The dark spot wind speed is 1500 miles per hour and is known as the highest wind speeds in the solar system.

  7. Fun Facts Did You Know • That Neptune is the farthest planet away from the sun. • Neptune has 900 times fainter sunlight. • Has a warm interior that produces energy. • Has a absorption of red light by methane. • Is the 4th largest planet.

  8. Super Good Information Neptune • Rotation is 16 hours and 7 minutes. • Revolution is 164.8 years. • Surface temperature is -220 degrees Celsius. • Number of moons is 13. • Number of satellites is 23. • Average temperature is -200 degrees Celsius. • Surface gravity is 122% (of earths gravity). • Tilt of axis is 28.5 degrees. • Diameter is 49528 km • Density is 1.64 g/ cm3 • DFS is 30.1 AU
