  3. Who influenced the fashions? • Edward 8th (Prince of Whales) the major social mediator of fashion. Shown here in a suit and overcoat. • Add pictures of the people.

  4. What was the silhouette? • It was the S shape. The silhouette looked like the hour glass figure just a little more curvy.

  5. Who were the designers and labels? Paul PoiretCoco Chanel

  6. What were the trends? • This was the time of the Gibson Girl!!! • The American look was more slim and a lot more smaller. The skirt length was 2” above the ankles. This is because they started using bikes and cars.

  7. What colors were popular? • The colors of this time period were bright springy colors. Such as: Reds,sky blues,bright yellow, andmint-green

  8. What textiles were used? • The most favorable textiles used were lace and porcelain. • The quilts were made of square large hexagons and flower gardens and sunbonnet sue.

  9. What movies are representative of the time? Some movies that went in that time period would be Annie and The Command.

  10. What clothing parallels can be made to other time periods? • The first sewing machine was made for home use so the middle class could recreate the look for themselves.

  11. What historical moments occurred? • In this time period it was the beginning of WWI. , The presidents of the United States were the Following : President T. Roosevelt, President Taft, President Wilson.
